The Grassroots Coaching Expo is coming to Young! This FREE course will be held in Young on Saturday May 23rd at Gus Smith Oval from 9:00am-11:00am. All coaches from U6-U9 should attend, and coaches from U10-11 are also encouraged as well as ANY parents that wish to learn more about coaching young players and around the small sided football. The course is aimed at addressing the rules of the game, stimulating coaches and parents to think about their behaviours, enjoying the game and developing a growth mindset to coaching and teaching. The course is practical and provides coaches and parents with ideas on how best to run their training sessions. All participants will receive their free FFA Grassroots Coaching Certificate. There was a huge turnout for our Junior Soccer Gala day on Saturday May 2nd – a big thank you to everyone who came along. We also received a substantial number of later registrations on the day, which means that the team lists released before the gala day may change – make sure you check the Teams & Draws page for more information. This year we have over 370 registered players and we were inundated with team placement requests. We endeavoured to meet as many requests as possible, but please understand it was not possible to accommodate all requests. We hope everyone has a happy and enjoyable season, and remember the game is for the kids!!...
